Because

I'm not a Christian simply because I go to church every Sunday.  I'm not a Christian because I graduated from a Christian college.  I'm not a Christian because I play bass with the worship team, or because I help with children's ministries.  I'm not a Christian just because I've been baptized.  I'm not a Christian because I read and study the Bible.  I'm not a Christian because I can quote numerous verses of Scripture.

Jesus Carrying The Cross

I'm not a Christian because of what I do; I'm a Christian because of what Christ has done for me and in me.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.  Ephesians 2: 8-9
